" A day without smiling is a day wasted "
The theme for my journal is time. Time is always passing us by but capturing a moment with a picture can last a lifetime. Sometimes something so simple can create the most interesting pictures. My first set of pictures is all about relaxation. Today everyone is always running around doing a million things at once and we loose sight of whats really important. These pictures symbolize taking the time to sit back, relax, and enjoy the sun. My next set of pictures is the complete opposite. These pictures are all about movement and finding the beauty of exercising outside and enjoying nature. The third set of pictures is reflection. Looking up, looking back, and looking forward. In each picture reflecting on your life in a different perspective, visualizing your past, present, and future. Set four is all about beauty. The beauty that we find in a simply gorgeous butterfly we can also find in ourselves. Today people only worry about looking like the scary skinny girl on the front of the magazine or the to muscular guy on the protein shake cover. We should really focus on our natural beauty because our looks will fade but that will last a lifetime. My next set of picture is focused on food. When your younger your expected to grab a ice cream cone and as you get older your expected to grab a martini. In general, as we get older its less expectable to do things, eat things, wear things, etc that we did when we were growing up. As were getting older we can still be young. People need to stop worrying about what society has to say about what they are doing and do what they enjoy. Get an ice cream cone with a martini be different, be you. Set six is based on enjoying the little things. Even if something doesn't look so pretty at the first glance, take a step back and enjoy the whole picture. Set seven is meant to symbolize a mirror. As time passes we tend to look in the mirror more and more obsessing on what we see on the other side. In reality the reflection we see is just as beautiful as what is standing in person. My last set, set eight focuses on the sun and looking at it in different perspectives. The sun symbolizes happiness and freedom and I feel like everyone should spend their time smiling.
